FLASH FLOOD WATCH THROUGH WED MORNINGMatt Boster

Portions of Southeast Alabama, Florida and Georgia including the following areas in Southeast Alabama --
Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston through Wednesday morning. Very heavy rains Sunday night and Monday exceeded 3 Inches across much of the watch area with 6 to 12 inch totals estimated across extreme Southeast Alabama. While rainfall has abated overnight, showers and storms are expected to become numerous later today with the activity persisting through the night and into Wednesday morning. Widespread additional rainfall totals of 2 to 3 Inches are expected in the watch area with localized amounts up to 4 inches will be possible. Any additional rainfall will exacerbate existing flooding in Geneva and Houston Counties.
A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood Warnings be issued.
