Flomaton Woman Dies in Florida Crash

A 2008 GMC was traveling south on U.S. 29 in the inside lane. A 2001 Chevrolet was traveling south on U.S. 29 in the inside lane in front of the GMC. The Cehvrolet stopped for a school bus that was stopped in the northbound lanes of U.S. 29 as it was picking up children. The GMC failed to stop for the Chevrolet, and the front of the GMC struck the rear of the Chevrolet. The GMC continued south for a short distance before veering to the right and coming to final rest facing south in the outside lane. The Chevrolet rolled south in the inside lane until it came to final rest facing south in the inside lane. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Jay Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Charges are pending a traffic homicide investigation. The driver of the Chevrolet has been identified as Sara R. Daw, 50, of Flomaton, AL.
