Florida Highway Patrol Makes Coincidence Arrest

Florida Highway Patrol: On 10-22-2011, Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal accident in Escambia County. Following the crash, Warrants were signed on Noah Hamilton for DUI Manslaughter and Reckless Driving. The passenger in the vehicle, identified as Rondal Brown, 23, died a month later due to injuries sustained from the crash.


The 1993 Cadillac Deville Hamilton was driving was northbound on I110 at a high rate of speed. The vehicle attempted to exit onto Exit 4 (Fairfield Drive). The vehicle failed to negotiate the curve to the right. The vehicle traveled off of the paved roadway and began to rotate in a clockwise motion. The front of the vehicle struck a road sign on the grass shoulder. The vehicle continued traveling North rotating in a clockwise motion. The vehicle traveled down an embankment and began to overturn. The vehicle overturned several times at which time Hamilton and Brown were ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle continued to overturn and traveled up an embankment. The vehicle then rolled back down the embankment and came to final rest in an upright position. The passenger Rondal Brown expired on 11-21-11 at 5:30 a.m. as a result of injuries from this crash.


UPDATE: As a result of this investigation, it was determined that the driver, Noah Hamilton, had a BAC of .168 at the time of the crash. Warrants were issued for Noah Hamilton for DUI Manslaughter and Reckless Driving. He was subsequently arrested on 4-26-12 and booked into the Escambia County Jail after he wa discovered as a pasenger in a crash that occurred in Santa Rosa County on 4-25-12.


 


Note: The Santa Rosa County Accident left two people in serious condition.
