Florida Highway Patrol Needs Your Help

On October 19, 2012 at around 12:37 A.M. the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Santa Rosa County. Uon arrival, it was found that the driver fled the scene. A 2005 Mercedes Kompressor was traveling northbound to eastbound on Garcon Point Road. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign and continued across Forsyth Street into the parking lot of 4512 Forsyth Street (Bagdad Elementary School). The Mercedes was airborne for a short period then continued eastbound through the parking lot causing the Mercedes’ front wheels to collide with the curb. The Mercedes continued eastbound and went airborne causing the front of the Mercedes to collide with the shrubs, and then the Elementary School building. At this time the driver is unknown due to the driver leaving the scene of the accident. Charges are pending when the driver is found.
