Florida Man Charged with Assault, Possession and Resisting Arrest

On 11, September 2012 at approximately 0045 hours, an officer with the Marianna Police Department located a suspicious subject later identified as Adrian Demetrius Kelly trotting away from a residence on the west side of Noland Street just south of Kelson Ave.  The officer approached Kelly to question him as to the reason he was trotting away from a residence at this hour of the night.  When Kelly would not provide a reason, the officer initiated a frisk of Kelly’s person for weapons.  Kelly lashed out and struck the officer with his right fist.  The officer placed Kelly on the ground, arrested him and secured him in wrist restraints.  While searching Kelly incident to arrest, the officer found a small plastic bag of marijuana in his shorts pocket.  Kelly was transported to the Jackson County Jail Facility where he will be held awaiting first appearance.

 

Arrested was Adrian Demetrius Kelly     B/M     of Grand Ridge, Florida

He is being charged with Battery L.E.O. Resisting Arrest with Violence

                        Possession of Marijuana
