DOTHAN: The following is not done for any publicity. That is because Dan and Ronda Corley have not contacted the media. It is because a fantastic lady with a huge heart let me know what these fine folks were doing.
Dan and Ronda Corley are looking after the fine men and women who are employed to protect lives and property. While they are employed to protect the lives and property, they put their lives on the line daily knowing the danger they might not return to their spouses and children.
Dan and Ronda Corley have recognized that danger. They want to make sure that the emergency responders get ample rest in between any emergency services they might be called to render assistance.
Dan and Ronda Corley own and operate MATTRESS USA in Dothan. Located on West Main Street just inside the Ross Clark Circle.
Dan and Ronda at MATTRESS USA have recently donated “more” new beds and mattresses to “our” firefighters. The fire stations have old stuff for so long. But now because Dan and Ronda wanted to give back to their community, the firefighters will have or already have new mattresses and beds to get restful sleep. And this is done at the expense of Dan and Ronda and MATTRESS USA.
And they have done this secretly behind the scenes. That is until another person who is generous tipped me about what they were doing.
Dan and Ronda Corley are DOTHAN people who own and operate MATTRESS USA. They are not a chain outfit. They are a husband and wife team working to make a living. And they are taking care of their community and those who take care of others.
The picture was secretly sent to me.
THANKS to Dan and Ronda and MATTRESS USA for taking care of our fire fighter’s.
IMAGINE THIS
You are traveling down Hwy. 84. And a vehicle changes lanes and causes you to leave the road, flip and get trapped with your two children in a car seat.
It is the fire fighters that (1) calm you down (2) stabilize the overturned vehicle so no more crushing (3) stabilize you the patient (4) begin extrication in order to remove you and your children from the vehicle, safely (5) begin immediate medical care in order to stabilize and make sure that you live.
You do not see the doctor on the scene. You do not see the specialist doctors on the scene. While they might be communicating with the emergency providers on the phone, it is the fireman and EMS from Ambulance service on the scene extricating and stabilizing the patient.
Just as in Ashford when the man got his arm caught in a piece of equipment. It was the zeal and intelligence of the EMS/FIRE that saved the man.
So thanks to Dan and Ronda Corley and MATTRESS USA for making sure they can sleep restfully and comfortably for that EMERGENCY THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED YET!
