A former Dothan attorney who admitted to more than 50 felony counts involving the theft of client funds totaling $10.5 million was sentenced to prison Friday.
Frederick Mitch McNab was ordered to serve a mandatory five years behind bars followed by probation. Specifically, he was sentenced to 20 years for Class B felony charges with 15 years suspended and 10 years for Class C felony charges with seven years suspended. McNab will be allowed to serve all sentences concurrently.
Supernumerary Circuit Judge P.B. McLaughlin said McNab cannot be released prior to serving the full five years. McNab was immediately handcuffed and taken to the Houston County Jail pending transfer to a state prison.
