Former Bama Football Player Will Dickerson Charged With Murder Moved To Montgomery, Here Is Why

Former Alabama football player Will Dickerson, kept in the Barbour county jail for three years without bail, was removed a few hours ago and driven to Montgomery where US Justice Department Officials plan to meet with him. It has now been proven that the district attorney, Ben Reeves, is known to be hiding exculpatory evidence and that the victim’s family has been purposely misled by the district attorney’s office and victim’s advocate. Rumours were flying last week that Ben Reeves had been picked up and questioned by the FBI and as of yet we have not been able to confirm that. But we are now able to confirm that an investigator working on Dickerson’s behalf has obtained documentation of the evidence that Mr Reeves has possessed the whole time that is the DNA blood of the individual who killed Willie Pugh. Reeves has suppressed this evidence and refused to turn it over in the legal discovery process and spent several years fighting and violating court orders to keep it hidden. If it became known, it would likely result in Dickerson’s release. While in the Barbour county jail, Dickerson, and members of his family have been threatened as well as investigators working on the case by individuals linked closely to Sheriff Leroy Upshaw. Because of this Dickerson has been unable to help the Pugh family seek justice and help identify the individual who murdered Willie Pugh.

Additionally, it is our understanding that Mr Dickerson will file formal charges against Barbour county Sheriff’s Department employees Ryan Conner, Jay Brice and Rickey Dollar for violating protective order in the morning. If convicted, the deputies could face jail time and their careers in law enforcement will be over with. A prominent attorney familiar with the case told us “if the DNA evidence can be made public or is revealed at trial then Mr Reeves would be guilty of prosecutorial misconduct”. the attorney said speaking in confidence “we have had several case in that court, this wouldn’t be the first time I suspect hes done this, it would just be the first time he’s been caught.”All of the past cases he has handled need to be reviewed by the justice department.”

He then stated, “if Dickerson walks out of that court room and is proven innocent, Barbour county can brace itself, this will be a record lawsuit. It has been proven in the past that DA’s withheld evidence that resulted in wrongful conviction after the fact, but to know it  and be able to prove it, while its taking place, and have a sitting judge, district attorney and sheriff involved, would be financially catastrophic, in my opinion. It unfortunately would confirm what people in state law enforcement have been saying for years about the depth of corruption present in Barbour county”.

A Harvard study on government corruption recently ranked Barbour county as one the most corrupt areas in the United States.

Despite what the media may say locally such as the Clayton Record, who has a vested interest in protecting Sheriff Leroy Upshaw, attached below in his own words is why Mr Dickerson was actually moved a few hours ago.
