Former Dothan School Board Member Speaks To,Fight Video At Dothan High School

This post might offend a few people but it is something I feel strongly about. Yesterday with a fight happening at Dothan High and someone, a student, choosing to video it for it to then be plastered all over social media all kinds of derogatory statements have been made about the school, the administration, the system, and more particularly about the students that attend Dothan High School. Yes, I was upset when I saw the video and I had a lot of questions about the safety of my child at school. After talking to her I found out she wasn't even in the school yet because it happened before school. Also, she did not feel threatened or at risk because of the fight that had taken place. When we as parents / adults feed into it and share stuff on social media about something we don't know everything about then we're fueling the fire ourselves. There was an administrator and teachers in the lunchroom at the time of the fight. 1 can actually be seen in the video pulling one student off of another. But I've seen on the numerous social media sites lots of comments questioning where was the administration, the teachers, and the SRO.  I remember fights in high school but fortunately for a lot of us cell phones, I pads and social media didn't exist.  We need to ALL think about that. It is sad we are so quick to judge and post stuff on social media instead of thinking before reacting.  Like I said you may not agree but I had to say it. OUR CHILDREN WILL REFLECT THE EXAMPLE THAT WE AS PARENTS SET FOR THEM....
