Fort Rucker Gives Special Recognition to Regional Bomb and Explosive Devices Unit

Today, the regional Bomb Squad, comprised of officers from the Houston County Sheriff's Office, the Dothan Police Department, and the Dothan Airport Police, were recognized by officials from Fort Rucker.

Certificates were given to each individual officer by Fort Rucker Deputy Provost Marshall Maj. Jay Massey and Fort Rucker Director of Public Safety Marc McDougald. The certificates recognised the officer's assistance and participation in the 2010 Freedom Festival at Fort Rucker.

Their participation helped ensure base safety and security as well assisting in the handling of any safety issues that might have arisen with the fireworks display.
