On July 21, 2012 at approximately 8:00 am, Dothan Police responded to the 100 block of Wembley Court reference to a residential burglary and kidnapping of a 5 year old child. The suspects entered the residence and forcefully removed the 5 year old female from her bed. The suspects were identified as the mother of the child, the maternal grandparents and an unknown white male.
Dothan Police issued a statewide BOLO for the suspects and their vehicle. At approximately 9:00 am, Ozark Police and Dale County Sheriff’s Office spotted the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The mother of the child and her cousin were detained while Dothan Investigators responded to Ozark to take them into custody. At that time it was determined that the maternal grandparents had the child and were on another vehicle.
Dothan Police worked throughout the day contacting law enforcement agencies across the State of Alabama and the State of Georgia ensuring they had accurate and complete information for the vehicle occupied by the child. Dale County Sheriff’s Office dispatched their helicopter that also assisted in searching for the suspect vehicle.
At approximately 5:30 pm, Florence Police and the Alabama Department of Public Safety located the suspect’s vehicle in Florence Alabama. After a short pursuit the vehicle was stopped and the child was safely recovered.
Dothan Investigators responded to Florence Alabama and took custody of the child. The maternal grandparents were arrested and transported back to Dothan.
The following suspects have been charged with Burglary First Degree with other charges pending.
White male, John David Keeton, 58 years of age of Highway 64 in Killen, Alabama. (grandfather)
White female, Kathryn Ann Fallon, 47 years of age of Highway 64 in Killen, Alabama. (grandmother)
White female, Jamie Mae Keeton, 27 years of age of Highway 64 in Killen, Alabama. (mother)

All suspects were booked into the Dothan City Jail and will be transferred to the Houston County Jail sometime tomorrow.
The Dothan Police Department would like to thank the Houston/Henry Counties District Attorney Doug Valeska, Ozark Police Department, Dale County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Department of Human Resources, Florence Police Department and the Alabama Department of Public Safety for their assistance in safely locating this child and taking the suspects into custody.
