On Monday, November 17, 2014, a home invasion robbery occurred at a residence on Nobles Road near Sneads, Florida. During the robbery three masked males forced their way into the residence  striking the occupants in the head with pistols. During the robbery the occupants were forced to a central  location in the living room. The intruders took an assortment of firearms and other items from the residence and fled.

During a subsequent investigation, Sharone Deonta McMillian, 21, of Sneads, Florida and his cousin, Devantaye Montrelle Bailey, 21, also of Sneads, were developed as suspects. On January 5, 2015 McMillian and Bailey were both located and arrested in connection with the home invasion armed robbery. McMillian was charged with Principle to Home Invasion Armed Robbery, Principle to Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Principle to False Imprisonment. Bailey was charged with Home Invasion Armed Robbery, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and False Imprisonment. A search of Bailey’s residence in Sneads, Florida revealed the discovery of a semi automatic handgun hidden in a concealed location within the residence. This firearm matched the description provided by the victims as one used during the robbery.

As the investigation progressed, two additional suspects were identified as Dezmond Dejohn Bolden, 25, of Chattahoochee, Florida and Savon Kwontrevius Jones, 19, also of Chattahoochee. Warrants for the arrest of Dezmond Bolden were obtained on charges of Home Invasion Armed Robbery, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and False Imprisonment. On Friday, January 16, 2015, Investigators with the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office traveled to a residence south of Chattahoochee, Florida in an attempt to locate and arrest Bolden. Bolden was located at that residence and arrested on the outstanding warrants

Investigators with the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office then traveled to an apartment at the Flint Garden Apartments in an attempt to locate Jones for questioning.

While at the apartment complex, Jones was located hiding inside an apartment as he knew investigators were there looking for him. Jones was arrested for Resisting Arrest without Violence.
