MONTGOMERY: It was four years ago today the drama created by some rogue prosecutors and investigators ended. Or at least one of their reign of terror ended.
The second federal jury in the Alabama bingo trials in Alabama ended with a sounding message of NOT GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS.
That message was after federal investigators taped over 3,000 secretly recorded conversations.
That message was after hundreds of thousands of dollars was spent by the federal government attempting to get convictions. And was after the federal government sent prosecutors from Washington D.C. to Montgomery Alabama to prosecute the case.
While the defense cost those charged their reputation and hundreds of thousands of dollars, the issue of electronic bingo has never been resolved.
Those in power think the people are to stupid to make the decision.
Anyway, when the funding is short, it is stupid decisions like the one the federal government made.
But two separate juries spoke LOUD AND CLEAR.
NOT GUILTY.
In the Wiregrass, Alabama Senator Harri Anne Smith was sported around by the FBI in handcuffs. She was paraded in front of the media.
Senator Smith was kicked from the Republican Party. The republicans spent almost $ 10 million dollars attempting to beat her.
The defense for Senator Smith cost her hundreds of thousands of dollars.
But the Wiregrass rejected the republican manure and rejection.
But that group, when they are with you - well they are with you. But only when you have value to them. When you have no value to them, they throw you out like a ol dish towel.
