Fuel Tanker Overturned on South County 55 in Lovetown

HOUSTON COUNTY: Lovetown Fire responded to a report of a overturned fuel tanker on South County 55 between Womack and Sweetie Smith. Reports were a 2500 gal. fuel tanker was turned over on it’s side and leaking fuel. Firefighters had to build a make shift dam to stop the fuel from running down hill into a creek. EMA responded to the scene alng with Ashford Police, Cottonwood Police and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office. The driver had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by Pilcher’s Ambulance.
