Fugitive on the Run Apprehended by U S Marshalls

The Chipley Police Department reports the arrest of Carlon Smith. For the last four weeks the U.S. Marshalls, Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force has been investigating the whereabouts of Smith. On November 13 Smith was arrested without incident in Daytona Beach. Smith has been on the run since we started arresting individuals on October 07. This came after we closed out six month long undercover drug operation in the City of Chipley where we obtained arrest warrants for 25 suspects. Smith was wanted for selling cocaine.


Two suspects still remain at large for their part in drug dealing in our community.
