On July 5, 2012 the Dothan Police Department made a felony arrest following an ongoing investigation with the help of a local business. The investigation began after police responded to a theft of jewelry on May 17, 2012 at Ted’s Jewelers (2956 Ross Clark Circle). Upon arrival, police learned two suspects entered the store and while one distracted the employee, the other stole a ring. Information regarding the theft was distributed to other jewelry stores and this lead to a break in the case on July 2, 2012 when an employee recognized the suspect and notified police. The suspect was identified and arrested.
Police say through the course of this ongoing investigation they have now learned of Brittian’s involvement in a second jewelry theft for which he was arrested and charged with on July 11, 2012.
Additionally, the investigation has revealed evidence of two additional suspects believed to be working with Brittian to conduct these felony crimes. Police say the suspects pictured below (see page two and three) have not yet been identified and are asking anyone with information about the case or identity of the suspect to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.
· Tobin Brittian, black male, 40 years of age, of Bremen, Georgia was arrested on July 2, 2012 and charged with First Degree Theft of Property with a $30,000 bond and was again arrested on July 11, 2012 and charged with Second Degree Theft of Property with a $15,000 bond.
