The Dothan Police Department has made a felony arrest following an ongoing investigation with the help of a local business. The investigation began after police responded to a theft of jewelry on May 17, 2012 at Ted’s Jewelers (2956 Ross Clark Circle). Upon arrival, police learned two suspects entered the store and while one distracted the employee, the other stole a ring. Information regarding the theft was distributed to other jewelry stores and this lead to a break in the case on July 2, 2012 when an employee recognized the suspect and notified police. The suspect was identified and arrested. Police say the second suspect has not yet been identified and are asking anyone with information about the case or identity of the suspect to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.
