Dothan: Company President Kruis Retherford and Founder A.L. Kirkland announce the official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on May 29 of the new plant to build the company’s increasingly popular line of family focused performance center console boats. The Dothan Facility will employee up to 100 boat builders and support personnel initially, and another 75 in the Phase 2 expansion. The new plant was necessary, according to Kirkland, to meet the needs of current and prospective dealers.
“Glasstream has shown very steady growth during the past five years, even in this economy. Our boats are one of the best values in the marketplace, affordable with great performance and style, with the best mpg in the market.” “We are proud to welcome the Governor of the great state of Alabama, Mayor Mike Schmidt, Chamber President Matt Parker and Houston County Commission Chairman
Mark Culver and many other state and local officials to celebrate our expansion. We chose Dothan because of the “get it done” attitude of these excellent public servants.” The Glasstream Tradition will continue at the new plant, offering stock boats as well as Semi to Full Custom builds.
