 Faine is very thankful to have raised $400.00 for :Relay For Life" at our latest school event! We are also holding a few more upcoming events in order to raise funds to support "Relay For Life:



On Saturday, March 8, 2014 8:00 am-10:00 a.m. A Pancake Breakfast will be held at Applebee's on Ross Clark Circle (breakfast includes unlimited pancakes, sausages, and a beverage). To-go boxes will be available. Tickets are $6.00.  Money is due by February 25, 2014. All proceeds that are collected will go towards "Relay For Life." 


On Saturday, March 15,2014 there will be a "Relay for Life" Faculty/Student  Basketball Game at Northview High School at 2:00 pm. Faine's Coach Jackson will be representing Faine in the game.

Faine will host a school-wide assembly on Monday, Feb 24, 2014 when author Michael Finklea will entertain students and faculty with his literature and life as an author. 



This presentation will promote the joy of writing through topics such as: 




  • What is an author's job? 




  • Authors Purpose




  • The importance of outlining and planning out your story




  • Making Revisions! 




  • Punching up stories! 




  • Being positive and not giving up! 




  • Michael will read, "Who Are You Calling Junior," to the youngest group.  




  • Michael will read the first chapter of his scary book, "Creepers," to the older students.  




  • The publishing process, submissions, and how books are made




  • Question and answer periods
