We’re getting lots of calls at the office asking questions about the festival, so we thought we’d answer some of your questions here, in case you were wondering the same things…
Q. Can I bring my doggie with me to the festival?
A. Yes, if your pet is on a leash and is well-behaved. Aggressive dogs will be asked to leave via their owner. Also, if your doggie has to um…. use the facilities… please clean up after them.
Q. Can I get tickets at the door?
A. Absolutely. It’s $10 per person each day and children 6 and under are FREE.
Q. What happens if it rains?
A. You may get wet, unless you bring an umbrella. The event is on rain or shine, and just because it might be raining across town doesn’t mean it’s raining at the Farm Center. Just come on out!
Q. Is there BBQ available for sale at the event?
A. YouBetcha! (Say that in your best Minnesota accent.) We’ve got three professional barbecue teams vending some pork, chicken, ribs and brisket down across from the dining tent.
Q. Is any food included for free in my admission ticket?
A. Not so much on Friday night, but on Saturday you can get food and samples from Blue Bell Ice Cream, Cheerwine soda, BBQ in the people’s choice tasting tent at 2:30 and sampling of the whole hog at 4pm. But the festival isn’t an all you can eat buffet. It’s a festival that has some free food samples on Saturday.
