Graceville Woman Charged with Fraudulent use of a credit card

On 05/04/2016 Macie Horton contacted the Marianna Police Department in reference to a stolen credit card. Horton told officers that the last time she had seen her credit card was when she was taking a pre-employment drug screen.

Horton said that she had left her purse on the counter at the direction of the lab associate instead of locking it in a locker. Horton later received a message from the credit card company advising her of a charge on her card. Horton stated that she did not use the card at the
time or place that it showed and when she checked her purse her card was missing.

During the course of the investigation evidence was gathered to have an arrest warrant granted for the Lab associate Claudia Payes. Payes was taken into custody on 05/10/2016 without incident and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.     

Suspect: Claudia E. Payes W/F 35 of Graceville, FL.                 

Charge: Fraudulent use of a credit card Grand theft
