The Dothan Police Department wants to ensure that everyone has a fun and safe Halloween. In this effort, we will provide (for the public) a list of the current registered Sex Offenders (names and addresses) living in the City of Dothan. These lists may be picked up at the Police Department located at 210 North Saint Andrews Street, Dothan, Alabama or viewed at the Police Department website, www.dothanpolice.org.
If you choose to trick or treat this Halloween, please remember the following safety tips:
1. Mask holes should be large enough to see through them.
2. Use a flashlight to let drivers see you.
3. Use reflective bright colors so drivers can see you after dark.
4. Walk on sidewalks, or as near the curb as possible. Only cross the street in designated cross walks.
5. Young children should always go trick or treating with an adult.
6. Never trick or treat alone. Have a least 2 buddies go with you.
7. Be cautious of strangers.
8. Accept treats only in the doorway. Never go inside a house.
9. Visit only houses where the lights are on.
10. Parents should inspect all treats before you eat them.
