Happy Birthday To Sandra Stokes Walden

HEADLAND:   I want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister Sandra Stokes Walden. Saturday was her birthday.  Sandra is married to Terry Walden. They live in Headland and attend Headland Baptist Church. Sandra has two children, Tricia Burgess Smith and Tracy Knowles. She has several step children and several grand children and step grand children.

Sandra takes care of our mother. She is in Azalea Court Assisted Living in Headland. She is the primary caregiver. Sandra is the one in the family when someone has a need, she is there. Recently when our aunt Martha McKinney was in the final hours of her life, her having only one son and one local grandson, grandaughter lived out of town, it was Sandra which stayed with her as she fought for her last breaths.

Recently when our daughter Emily went into labor with our first grandson, come later at night, it was Sandra that joined Marsha and Emily, remaining with them as Emily progressed in having the baby. When time came she woke me up to come to the hospital.

When the bingo trials came along, it was Sandra that volunteered to stay in Montgomery and cover the trial. Each day patiently typing the articles and keeping the RSN readers informed.

When our Uncle Bud was sick and health declining, it was Sandra that traveled to Auburn to stay with he and Aunt Mary giving Shawn and Peggy some rest.

Sandra does not get the credit she deserves. When needed, she is there, ready and willing to help.

I am the baby of the family. I am the spoiled one of the family, as if you can not tell. Sandra is the oldest. I can make her the madest, the quickest of anyone you know of. She has to take medications to be around me to control the high and lows!!! But when I need someone, I know that I can depend on her.

Sandra has never been to an Auburn - Alabama game and has always wanted to go. This year I need two tickets for her to go. HINT! HINT!
