If you are ready a scare this Halloween check this out.
A Heavenly Slumber presents, Columbia Manor. A Haunted House in Columbia.
As you knock on the door of this old house the Manor Keeper greets you. In the foyer you are briefed on the history of the building. As you separate into small groups, you find yourself on a self-guided tour of the haunted house.
This structure was built in 1864 as the 1st school in Columbia Alabama. In the early 1900’s, when the school was relocated, the building was used as a hospital. Later use was for a formal home.
The building is owned by Todd Chandler.
The haunted house is located at 306 South Main Street in Columbia Alabama. It is operated by volunteers the Columbia Fire and Rescue squad, City of Columbia, and many personal friends.
Admission Price is $7.00 for adults; 12 and under are $5.00
(An adult must accompany Children)
A portion of all proceeds go directly to benefit the Columbia Volunteer Fire and Volunteer Rescue Squad.
For those who come out that have a child or children who would not like to take the tour, they have a sitting service across the street free of charge. They will have children’s activities as well as goodie bags for each child.

Directions: From Dothan take Hwy 52 East to Columbia. Turn right at the traffic light. The house is second on the right past the water tower.
On a personal note, I would like to thank Mark Lizenby, Todd Chandler, Clay Hamm and Jessie Ingram for giving me a back stage tour as well as a haunted tour. This is a really scary haunted house and well worth the trip. Check it out and tell a friend. The money collected goes to help out our volunteer service men.
