HEADLAND LAUNCHES HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

Headland will have a city-wide Holiday Open House to launch the holiday season on the Thursday before Thanksgiving, Nov 20, 3:00-8:00pm. 


Merchants will stay open late with special sales and holiday treats for people to shop after normal business hours. Other businesses will also have customer appreciation/open house activities.


Lighted luminaries will designate participating businesses during the event. Those participating include Polka Dots & Lace, The Old Ice House, Daylight Invites, Diann’s Florist & Gifts, The Gilded Lily, Quilted Creations, K-Time Sports and Apparel, Ashley Parr Photography & Courtly Couture, Peoples South Bank, Headland Insurance and HNB First Bank.


The tree-lighting at the square will be at 6:00pm followed by Headland Elementary School’s Kindergarten’s Holiday Sing at the gazebo.


Santa will arrive in his red sleigh on Grove Street on the downtown square at 3:30pm to visit with children and then will move to Diann’s Florist at 4:30 until 5:30. Strolling carolers will also entertain with Christmas music in front of businesses during the evening.The City of Headland Municipal Complex will also have an open house for the public to tour the facility.


Another Sundown Cinema at the Square is set for the following night, Friday, Nov. 21 at 6:00pm. “The Polar Express” will be the featured presentation. Popcorn, hot cocoa and drinks will be available. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for this holiday event.
