Headland Man Charged with Receiving Stolen Property

On April 14th, 2015 the Dothan Police Department arrested Courtney Byrd after a recent weapons investigation revealed he sold two shotguns to an individual that were reported stolen during a recent burglary spree which spanned Dale and Henry County.


Investigators with the Dothan Police Department are working with members of the Dale and Henry County Sheriff’s Department as well as the Headland Police Department in regards to the burglaries and more charges against Byrd may be forth coming.




  • Courtney Jamal Byrd, black male, 21 years of age, of Headland, Alabama was arrested and charged with second degree Receiving Stolen Property. A bond amount has been set at $30,000.00. 


All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
