The Southeast Alabama Medical Center Foundation recently pinned Healing Hands recipients Venkataraman Palabindala, MD, and Ravindranath Nallamothu, MD, both hospitalists at the Medical Center.

Healing Hands, a special tribute opportunity within the Foundation’s Grateful Patient program, provides patients and their families and friends with a unique way to say thank you for the exemplary care they received at Southeast Alabama Medical Center by honoring someone who made an impression during their hospital experience.

A gift of any amount may become a Healing Hands tribute gift in honor of a doctor, nurse, other caregiver or support team member who had a special impact. Without specifying the amount, the foundation will recognize the Healing Hands recipient with a certificate and custom design lapel pin for them to proudly wear.

Launched in 2007, the SAMC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is dedicated to developing a strong base of philanthropic support to help SAMC and its affiliates provide quality healthcare and promote wellness. The Foundation seeks and receives charitable gifts to help the Medical Center enhance services, build new facilities, provide medical education and on-going training for health care professionals, fund cutting-edge equipment and technology, and bring unique and specialized services to the regional community faster than before.

When a donation is made in honor of a caregiver, SAMC Foundation presents the recipient with a Healing Hands recognition pin as a lasting reminder of their caring spirit and the donor’s tribute gift. The donor can specify what department or program they would like their donation allocated. For more information call (334) 673-4150 or visit www.samcfoundation.org
