The City of Headland Alabama is currently taking applications for part-time EMTs and Paramedics for Headland Fire Rescue for all shifts. Headland Fire Rescue currently responds to both emergency and non-emergency calls for the City of Headland, the Town of Newville and the Town of Kinsey as well as surrounding areas. Applicants are expected to have a current Alabama EMSP license (EMT or above), and firefighting experience is preferred but not required. Pay is based on level of current license. Applications can be obtained and returned to the Headland Municipal Complex Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. through 4:30 P.M. at 25 Grove Street, Headland, Alabama. Final day to turn in applications will be July 6, 2015. All previous applicants must re-apply.
Please attach copies of current license and/or certificates to application. All qualified applicants will be subject to an interview process.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Alabama Driver’s License and over the age of 21 with clean driver’s history (insurance requirement)
- Valid Alabama EMS License at the level of EMT or above
- Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - (required for Paramedics)
- Current EVOC
- Must pass a criminal background check & driving history check
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
