Dothan: Today a group from the US Veterans MC Alabama escorted a U-Hal full of donations to the Jubilee Bargain Center located at 761 South Oates Street (the old Salvation Army thrift Store). These fine men and women collected and escorted these much need supplies to the Bargain Center. The Jubilee Bargain Center helps the homeless and helps feed the hungry here in Dothan.
Today’s donation was food, person hygening suplies and clothes. It was all much need to help with thier quest.
Grace Applied Ministries is collecting non-perishable food items during the month of July to help those in need and the homeless in Dothan and the Wiregrass.
We need all types of food, such as, peanut butter, canned vegies, canned fruit, canned meat, juice, salt, sugar, black pepper, corn meal, flour, coffee, tea, mayonnaise, mustard, cooking oil, jelly and jam and almost anything else you can think of.
You may drop off your items at 761 South Oates St., Dothan of call (334) 699-8019 for a quantity pick-up.
All food collected will be used to help feed the needy and homeless in Dothan and the Wiregrass. With over 500 documented homeless individuals in our community, the need is greater than most realize. This number does not include the elderly trying to get by on a fixed income of $500 or less a month, and struggling families -- our neighbors.
