HENRY COUNTY: Henry County Sheriff Deputies went to serve an arrest warrant this morning. When the deputies hit the yard the female hit the back door and into the woods.
Henry County Sheriff Sgt. Bennefield was the primary Deputy involved. Henry County Sheriff Department being a small department the number of deputies was very limited.
Henry County Sheriff Deputy Eric Blakenship was off duty and responded to assist.
Dale County Sheriff Helicopter was called to assist in the search. After a hunt into the woods and before the air support arrived the female was apprehended.
The search was near the Henry County and Barbour County line in the Sunset Acres.
Arrested and booked into the Henry County Jail was Michelle Wilkerson. Wilkerson was booked on failure to appear warrants for Unlawful Manufacturing A Controlled Substance and Trafficking.
Good job to the Deputies with Henry County. ALSO note, Deputy Blakenship resonded OFF Duty and WITHOUT Compensation. As do many of the men and women in the Henry County Sheriff Department.
The department has few deputies and all pitch in, responding to assist knowing there is no money for overtime and compensation time, well when you do not have enough to go around, there is no opportunities for comp time.
