Hey I Have A Unique Idea - WHY DON'T The Leaders Put The KIDS FIRST

ALABAMA:    Hey, I have a unique idea in which the decision makers have never had.


Why don't we take the metal detectors and security in the (1) Houston County Courthouse (2) Dothan Police Building - where they all have guns, (3) Dothan Commission Chambers, and place them in the schools, (4) the executive security for people who feel important like the Attorney General, Governor, Lt. Governor, Speaker of the House, Speaker Pro Tem (5) the ones in the Alabama Legislature


In the schools, we could protect the most valuable resources we have - the children. Politicians, you know those children you hug when running for office. Politicians, you know those children you compliment when running for office. Politicians, you know those children you talk about when running for office.


Those little ones which are only important to you at election time.


Apparently in Dothan we have a problem at Honeysuckle Middle School. At that school, they need metal detectors and someone searching those who enter the school grounds.


But no, sorry parents...those metal are far more important protecting the adults. Even one in the Dothan Police Headquarters where every officer in the building has a gun. And try to get into the offices at Dothan Police Headquarters. All doors locked and the people are behind thick glass.


I am not a politician and there is no office I want to run for. However, I would be ashamed as an adult political leader to know that I feel my safety is more important than the children.


However, look around at the children facilities like school, then look around at the adult facilities like Alabama Legislature, Governor, Attorney General, other state elected officials, courthouse, Dothan Police Headquarters, Dothan Commission. And you will see where their focus is!!! Not the kids...


HECK...for years I have even talked about the cross walk in front of Rehobeth Elementary and Rehobeth Middle School. Not one person has give a damn if a child gets run over but me!!!
