High School Scholars To Compete in WCC Scholars Bowl

Dothan, Ala.—Wallace Community College will host the 34th Annual Scholars Bowl Invitational Tournament on Friday, February 27, at the Wallace Campus in Dothan. Four-player teams from area high schools will compete for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place trophies. The top-scoring senior will receive a scholarship to Wallace Community College.
Tournament action begins at 8:30 a.m. with elimination rounds. The championship round will be held in the Bencze Theatre in Cherry Hall. The tentative time for the final round is 11:00 a.m.
Questions for the event cover a range of topics, including math, history, literature, current events, pop culture, science, and sports, among others. Schools competing in this year’s Scholars Bowl are Abbeville Christian Academy, Abbeville High School, Eufaula High School, Goshen High School, Headland High School, Northview High School, Pike County High School, Providence Christian School, Slocomb High School, and Wicksburg High School
