Hit and Run Driver Arrested in Washington County Florida

Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports that Tuesday, November 18 at approximately 7:32 p.m., Jayvon James Burns was taken into custody on felony warrants following a hit and run that resulted in the death of a local female resident on Monday, November 17th.
At 5:57pm, FHP attempted a traffic stop while following up on the homicide investigation involving Burns. During the attempted traffic stop, Burns exited the vehicle and fled on foot into a heavily wooded area.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office initiated a ground search with the assistance of K9 teams from Holmes Correctional, Walton Correctional and Northwest Florida Reception Center and air support from Bay County Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of the ground search, Burns was apprehended in the area of Holmes Valley Road, east of highway 79, south of New Hope.
Burns was transported to the WCSO Jail.
Two females were taken into custody at the scene.
Arrested:
Carrie Ann Coatney, 31 year old, white female
Aiding and abetting a felony fugitive
Paige Lauren Angerbrandt 17 year old, white female
Aiding and abetting a felony fugitive
"There isn’t enough I can say to express how fluid these agencies including Holmes CI, Walton CI, NWFRC, FHP, FWC and the Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force worked together to ensure we got our guy" states Sheriff Haddock.
Additional charges are expected
