On July 18, 2012, Holmes County Sheriff's Deputies were involved in a Man Hunt for a suspect that was possibly wanted for theft. The location of the Man Hunt was near the Alabama/Florida State Line on Holmes County Road 163 North. The suspect being sought was a young white male. Holmes County Sheriff's Office requested the assistance of Blood Hounds from the Holmes Correctional Institute with the Florida Department of Corrections. The Sheriff, Tim Brown, would like to thank the Holmes Correctional Institute for their rapid deployment of their K-9's and their help. Brown would also like to thank the Geneva Police Department for their assistance in the case. Please call the Sheriff's Office if you saw this man or know the whereabouts of this man is. Holmes County Sheriff Captain Hamilton stated that, " We will keep the roads hot tonight".
