MONTGOMERY: The Del Marsh Tourism Committee of the Alabama Senate et this morning for the purposes of voting the bingo legislation from commttee.
The fight is not over, but Senator Marsh with Senator Bobby Singleton by his side, shafted Houston County.
Senator Smith fought the fight to get Houston County in the legislation. Senator Billy Beasley and Senator Tripp Pittman voted to get Houston County in the legislation.
Understand, Senator Smith does not serve on the Tourism Committee. Senator Beasley, Pittman and Singleton do.
Senator Beasley offered the amendment for Houston County to be included. Senator Pittman second the motion. Senator Marsh opposed the legislation and took a voice vote. Later in one of the videos you can see Marsh, the Chairman of the Committee, does not know how Singleton voted. Yet Singleton sit right next to him.
On a voice and unrecorded vote, Marsh did not allow the amendment to include Houston County, in the legislation the came out of the committee.
Beasley and Pittman voted for Houston County. Senator Singleton was a lying wiesel, in my opinion.
You can see the interaction with the liar.
We can still fight on the Senate side with all of the Senate. But Del Marsh and Bobby Singeton has given Houston County the shaft.
Matt working on the videos.
