Houston County Jail Employee - Well Finds Herself In Jail

HOUSTON COUNTY:    A Houston County Jail employee has found herself behind the bars without the ability to say, unlock door number ----.


Houston County Sheriff Investigators arrested Donna Powers of Cowarts and  her husband, John Eric Powers.


Houston County Sheriff Investigators charged both Powers with Unlawful Possession of Synthetic Marijuana and Child Endangerment. Both were booked into the jail.


The female Powers served in the front office with Jail Commander Keith Reed. The male Powers has been arrested once or twice before and was currently on bond.


The female Powers is on Administrative Leave while the information is under review. Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza will then hand down the decision on Powers employment.
