Houston County School Board Meeting

HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County School Supt. Tim Pitchford as called a special board meeting tonight at 5:30 PM.
The meeting will be held at the central office of the Houston County School Board on South Alice Street. This is a special called meeting and not a regular scheduled meeting.
As per the Open Meetings Law we placed Tim Pitchford on notice requesting o be notified of the meetings. We have been notified. One other media outlet received notice, some did not. But only those in Tim Pitchford’s favor receive notice of the meetings.
Reports are Tim Pitchford "polled" some of the board members of their permission in hiring a private security company. Notice was sent out by fax to particular media outlet of the meeting. This could be in violation of the open meetings law.
We will be there tonight for the meeting.
