HOUSTON COUNTY: Someone needs to suggest to the Houston County School Superintendent and members of the Houston County School Board this makes sense.
The old Sear’s Building on West Main next to the Dothan icon "West Main Jewelry and Pawn", the Houston County School Board ought to purchase this building. It would make a great CTC Center for the Houston County Schools.
It is a large building and would allow the Houston County Schools a great facility to train students. Plenty of room for classrooms and parking.
On the west side of the building is a complete shop with auto lifts and work stations to train automotive to students.
The building is statically located between all Houston County Schools - Ashford, Rehobeth, Columbia, Cottonwood and Wicksburg.
The owner of the building is fair and probably willing to work any deal the school system needed to make things work. NO - I don’t own the building!!!
Tim will not listen to me. In fact he for some unknown reason does not like me. But if someone can talk some sense into him and the board, they might want to consider this building.
Thanks - they might even move the alternative school from North Foster Street to this location when they purchase it.
