HOUSTON COUNTY:   Houston County Sheriff Deputy Cody jumped a motorcycle on Cottonwood Road and Eddins Road. The motorcycle was south bound on Cottonwood Road. Deputy Cody reported they were traveling at speeds of 80 MPH. Deputy Cody reports there is a passenger on the motorcycle, possibly a female on the back.

The chase started at 1:42 PM and Houston County Sheriff Deputies had the subjects in custody at 1:47 PM at 8845 Cottonwood Road.

Deputy Cody reported during the chase it appeared the subjects threw a package from the motorcycle during the chase. Houston County Sheriff Vice Deputy Rick Clemmons is searching for the package thrown from the motorcycle  which is in the 7000 block of Cottonwood Road.

Houston County Sheriff Deputy Allen Hendrickson and Sheriff Chief Deputy Donald Valenza is also on the scene with Deputy Cody.

Matt Boster is on the scene. Alabama State Troopers is assisting.

Also during the chase Jackson County Sheriff Deputies were getting into position in the vent the chase made it into the State of Florida.

You will see Deputies along Cottonwood Road and in the Gene Terry Road area looking for drugs.

The suspect on the motorcycle is a probationer from Houston County, a probationer for drugs, and possibly has outstanding arrest warrants in Dothan and Houston County. Subject possibly has child support arrest warrants.
