On February 1, 2010 the Houston County Sheriff's Office charged Ralph S. Stanley a 57 year old male of Chester, New York, Vincent L. Stanley a 27 year old male of Middletown, New York, Lazaro L. Hernandez a 43 year old male of Newberry, New York, and a Gregorio Herrera a 30 year old male of Vencar, New York with Theft of Property 1st and a bond of $5,000.00 set for each one charged. 


Houston County Sheriff's Office investigation showed that these individuals were involved in an asphalt paving scam (The taking of money (over $2,500.00) and not completing the work.) they were using the name of Anchor Asphalt Paving. 


Lazaro L. Hernandez and Gregorio Herrera are also being held for, U.S. Immigration Custom Enforcement (ICE) for illegal status in the United States. 


Houston County Sheriff's Office also ask that if you are approached by anyone by telephone, mail, or person with a promise of monies for a monetary fee or work to be done for money first, contact the Houston County Sheriff's Office.
