I Take Issue With Alabama Political Reporter In Reference To Speaker Mike Hubbard

MONTGOMERY:    The Alabama Political Reporter takes issues with the Alabama Legislature electing Mike Hubbard as Speaker of the House. In part they are correct, but in part I take strong issue with them.

Yes, if it was anyone else they would not be elected as Speaker of the House. Any law enforcement officer, commissioner, etc..., they would be suspended or cast out if they were under indictment.

However, the Alabama Political Reporter puts credibility on the fact that a Grand Jury indicted Speaker Hubbard. The Alabama Political Reporter puts credibility to the fact that 18 people on a Grand Jury indicted Hubbard.

First, Grand Jury is the biggest public scam there is. A Grand Jury is a prosecutorial tool where they hear only one side of the story. The 18 people only hear what the prosecutor wants them to hear, unless you have someone as the Foreperson with a strong will and takes lead from the prosecutor.

Remember when Bill Clinton was President and $ 50 million dollars was spent attempting to indict him? In Alabama, for $ 50 he could have been indicted and on death row.

In Houston County, one County Commissioner who was on the commission testified before the Grand Jury of Houston County. A special Grand Jury managed by the same person who managed the Lee County Grand Jury. That one commissioner was Bobby Snellgrove. The others commissioners who were on the commission at the time of Country Crossings took the fifth amendment and refused to answer questions.

Guess What? Snellgrove was the only person indicted. No other commissioner was indicted. And Snellgrove should not have been indicted and I predict that he will not be convicted.

But back to Speaker Hubbard - I agree with him that the prosecution in his case is not honest and above board. Some of those involved were involved in the prosecution/persecution of those in the federal bingo case. They are as dirty as they come, it is just under seal and can not be disclosed. All media knows it, it is they are afraid of being hauled into federal court and questioned about how they know.

United States Federal Judge Myron Thompson should unseal the record and let the facts be revealed.

So I take strong issue with the fact that, just because Mike Hubbard has been indicted does not mean that he is guilty.

And by the way, I AM NOT a Mike Hubbard fan!

ONE HONEST PROSECUTOR

I will applaud and compliment one prosecutor in the State of Alabama. He is a man of integrity, honesty and has a back bone.

His name is KIRKE ADAMS. He is the District Attorney for the 33rd Judicial Circuit which is Dale and Geneva County.

When the Garrett's and Garner were under indictment for allegations of a contract plot to kill a Circuit Judge, when all of the dust settled and the facts were gathered, there was no evidence in the case.

District Attorney Kirke Adams dismissed the charges and had the Garrett's and Garner released from jail.

When asked why he did not wait and let Grand Jury dismiss the case, Adams said that was the coward way out.

Adams looked at the evidence, he looked at the law, and he made a decision and acted on the decision.

That took a man with integrity, honesty and back bone. For that, Kirke Adams is a respected man in the legal profession. He looks at issues with common sense, with clear vision and with reality that sometimes good people makes mistakes in decisions and judgment. That his role is not to destroy people and lives, but to do what is just and fair.

Just because someone is arrested or indicted, that does not mean they are guilty or even committed the offense charged. A person can not fight the ride, only fight the crime in court.
