HOUSTON COUNTY:   Again, the attitude will be "shoot that messenger" rather than " listen to the message".


Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver and Houston County Personnel Director Sheri Thompson messed up the pooch for those applying for Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director.


They used a program called INDEED. Well I started getting complaints the program did not work.


After a article was posted I was asked by Thompson why I did not let her know before posting a news article. Well, Ms. Thompson, I can not find in my job description that I am suppose to make sure you and Culver know how to do your job.


One of my co-workers attempted several times with three different computers since 1:39 PM when Thompson told me it was fixed.


Well, it did not work.


Also Chairman Mark Culver told another media member they were going to extend the process through tomorrow. No announcement to that has been made officially that I am aware of.


And we video taped attempts to apply. And INDEED, INDEED did not work.


So hopefully it will be a fair process. INDEED we are not so sure.


NOTE:   I did not apply. But had I changed my mind I could not have applied today anyway, INDEED no one else could have either!
