DOTHAN: Join Chris, Sophia and Christina and many friends on Thursday, April 24 - 25 for the 1st Annual Savoy Jones Scholarship Benefit Weekend.
Savoy Jones was a student at Emmanuel Christian School. On February 5, 2013, Savoy collapsed while playing basketball and was rushed to the hospital. After a few hours, 15 year old Savoy passed away.
Through Savoy’s 15 years, it was evident that he had touched many lives. Savoy’s faith in GOD was strong. It was evident during Savoy’s time at the hospital, during the time at the Jones’ home, the funeral that Emmanuel Christian School is preparing the youth to be strong adults who walk in the way of the Lord.
All who knew Savoy, all adults who knew Savoy, he was one fine young man!
Since the Jones’ have witnessed the fine youth at Emmaneul and the staff, and a desire to remember Savoys’ life, the first annual schloarship is born.
The desire is to raise money to annual award a deserving student a chance to attend Emmanuel Christian School.
If you desire to help sponsor this event, call Savoy’s dad, Chris at 334-796-0122.
