Interviews Set For Tuesday For E 911 Coordinator

DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY: The Advisory Committee for Dothan - Houston County E 911 is set to meet Tuesday from 9 AM until 4 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to interview four Coordinator Candidates for Dothan - Houston County E-911.
The four set to interview are Wicksburg Fire Chief/Houston County in School Suspension Teacher Wanda Andress, Retired Dothan Police Captain David Jay, Holly A. Britain - currently Dothan Police Records and long time Dothan Police Communications Officer, and Carole Schumaker - currently Dothan IT and maintains computer for E-911.
The Dothan - Houston County E911 Coordinator is a contract position which pays $ 48,000.00 a year. The contract is a two year contract.
The Coordinator sets the agenda, calls meetings, and moves projects through the E911 Advisory Committee. The Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of the 911 system.
Following the interviews, the 911 Advisory Committee will make a recommendation to the 911 Board. That board consists of Dothan Mayor and Commissioners, and Houston County Commission Chairman Mark Culver and Commissioner Jackie Battles.
The board can accept or reject the recommendation.
