DOTHAN: Dothan Commissioner Amos Newsome was arrested by the Dothan Police Department for Assault in the case of WTVY News Ken Curtis.

The Dothan City Manager, Mike West, illegally made an appointment of Carl Chamblee, Jr. to be the Acting Municipal Judge in the case of Amos Newsome.

Chamblee comes to Dothan and "illegally and without the lawful authority" impersonates a Municipal Judge in the City of Dothan.

Chamblee illegally and without the lawful authority to do so convicts Dothan Commissioner Amos Newsome of Assault.

Newsome appealed to Houston County Circuit Court. The case was originally assigned to Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Brad Mendheim.

In June Dothan Municipal Appeals were re-assigned to Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Mike Conaway.

And guess what, Judge Conaway is the Judge that held the trial and sentence of the female companion of Commissioner Newsome on the absentee voting?

Judge Conaway has set a trial date for Newsome for August 8, 2016 at 8:30 AM.

Freddie Len White, Judge Rose Evans Gordon and Dothan City Manager Mike West are aware the appointment of the Acting Municipal Judge for Newsome is illegal and unlawful

Now Dothan City Attorney Freddie Len White is aware that Dothan City Manager Mike West, in and through the apparent legal advise of White and Judge Gordon, made illegal appointments of Acting Municipal Judge. In fact, White and Gary Maxwell has filed motions to dismiss the appeal to Circuit Court in the case involving Rickey Stokes.

Newsome Judge was the same one illegally appointed in the Stokes case.

But Freddie Len White has never filed to dismiss the Newsome appeal. I wonder why... He did so in the Rickey Stokes case...

Now Carl wants everyone to know the following about himself. In sworn statements as Judge made by Carl Chamblee, the guy illegally appointed by the Dothan City Manager to impersonate a Judge in the City of Dothan.

Carl's own words are as follows

" I'm a no-nonsense kind of guy". "back in 1993, I was the President of the Municipal Judges Association".

" I've had the good fortune of presiding over thousands of cases over the years, 32 years as a judge in Trussville and 20 years in Argo."

" I'm a no-nonsense kind of guy. I've done this a long time".

" You have authorization to arrest ( talking about Stokes ) and to detain people. That is a very serious undertaking when you deprive people of their liberties. I've learned that as a judge if I've learned nothing else. That there are two ways of doing things.

When you're going to restrain someone's liberty, you got to do it lawfully, okay?

What Carl can not do is read and understand the law of the State of Alabama: ( But neither can Len White or Rose Evans Gordon ):

Acting municipal judges.

In the event of the absence from the municipality, death, disability or disqualification of a municipal judge for any reason, the mayor of the municipality shall have the authority to designate a person, licensed to practice law in the state and a qualified elector of the state, not otherwise employed in any capacity by the municipality, to serve as acting municipal judge with all power and authority of a duly appointed municipal judge. No such acting judge may serve for more than 30 successive days or a total of 60 days in any calendar year; provided, that when the duly appointed municipal judge is disqualified pursuant to the Constitution, the time of service limitations for acting judges shall not apply during such disqualification.
