MONTGOMERY: It is STRANGE on the BP Oil Lawsuit.
Today in AL.com Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange talks about the BP Oil Lawsuit. Strange says that he is asking for a jury trial against BP in Montgomery. Strange expects Alabama to get $ 1.64 to $ 2.19 BILLION dollars from the suit.
Here is what is STRANGE. It was not Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange but former Alabama Attorney General Troy King that filed the lawsuit against BP on behalf of Alabama.
When Attorney General Troy King filed the lawsuit, then Alabama Governor Bob Riley was critical of Troy King. Riley said school teachers might not get their paychecks because of Troy King filing the lawsuit. Of course that was an issue that Riley was using to beat Troy King.
And of course, Riley was lying to the people of Alabama. It turns out that the lawsuit was wise and Troy King actually looked after the people of Alabama by filing the suit.
It is also STRANGE that the suit and wise actions by Troy King is what Luther Strange is bragging about in his success.
You can tell when a politician is lying...his mouth moves. You can tell when they are getting ready to tell a lie...you see their chest moving and they are breathing!!!
Bob Riley is one of those.
