Recently, the Southeast Alabama Coalition for the Homeless conducted a Point In Time (PIT) count for the homeless population. As a follow-up to the Point In Time count, the volunteers have identified the following needs in the homeless community: Toboggans (beanies) knit hats, heavy socks, long johns, warm clothing, blankets, tarps and rope. Eagle Eye Outfitters, 3535 Ross Clark Circle in Dothan, has agreed to be the drop off site. These particular items can be dropped off at Eagle Eye from February 1st through February 15th. Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Valentine’s Day is February 14th. During this Valentine’s season, let’s also show love for our homeless population and extend them a helping hand by providing these supplies that many need to survive.
The Southeast Alabama Coalition for the Homeless would like to thank all the volunteers who assisted with the Homeless Point In Time count and to Eagle Eye Outfitters for providing the drop off location.
