It’s back…. Dancing with the Stars- Dothan Style

You’ve waited for it and the wait is almost over!The 6th annual Dancing with the Stars-Dothan Style is nearly here! Dancing with the Stars, the largest, most unique, and entertaining fund-raising event hosted by The Dothan-Houston County Substance Abuse Partnership, a 100 percent local non-profit drug prevention organization is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Dothan Civic Center. Each celebrity is partnered with a local dance professional and will learn one dance to perform on stage at the Civic Center.


This year’s slate of local celebrities include: Breanna Barrs of WDHN; Scott Bodiford, Dothan Firefighter:Jim Martin,Martin Environmental; Stephanie Martin, pageant coach; Alicia Hansen, Dothan Police Officer; Lisa Baldwin, Flower’s Hospital nurse; Ann Holman, retired financial advisor; Courtney Rose, engineer at Farley Nuclear; and Sandy Brooks, morning DJ on WKMX and Spa Novus relaxation experts. 


Local professional dancers this year include: Sonya Philippona, Ron Devane, Debbie Woodham, Hayden Overstreet, Wayne Adkison, Tony Hansen, William Phillips, Eddie Davis, and Everett Tolar.


The Partnership’s mission is to educate the youth of Houston County on alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and bullying. All the money raised at this event allows them to stay relevant on new trends in drug use and how best to spread the message of how dangerous use and abuse can be.
