Jackson County Crash Seriously Injures One

A 2003 Lincoln SUV was traveling southbound, attempting to cross Hwy 90 from Old US Road. A 2002 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound in the inside lane. Joyce R. Mabardy, the driver of the Lincoln, failed to observe the Ford and continued into the intersection colliding with the left side of the Ford with it's right front. Both vehicles came to final rest at the area of collision on the roadway blocking eastbound traffic. The driver of the Lincoln SUV was not injured, but was charged with Violation of Right of Way following the crash. The driver of the Ford, Frank E. Golden, 50, of Marianna, FL, was seriosuly injured in the crash and was transported to Jackson Hospital.
