Jackson County Drug Task Force Makes Another Arrest

On Friday July 18, 2014, the Jackson County Drug Task Force concluded an investigation into the ongoing sales of Marijuana in Graceville, Florida, by Andrae Lanoris Young, 10/07/1982. Investigators had obtained arrest warrants for Young for previous sales of controlled substance (Marijuana) and were attempting to locate him. At approximately 3:30pm Investigators observed Young driving his Gold colored Chevrolet Impalla South on College Drive. Investigators were able to follow Young to an address on Pearl Street, where Young was taken into custody without incident when he exited his vehicle. While investigators were placing restraints on Young he advised that he had two and a half ounces (2½) of Marijuana in his waistband. Investigators then retrieved the Marijuana that was packaged in 3 separate clear plastic bags. Also located on Young was a large sum of cash money that investigators believed he obtained from recent sales of Marijuana in the area.
Prior to Andrae Young’s arrest today, Investigators had coducted a total of three (3) prior controlled marijuana purchases from him, on different dates. At the conclusion of this investigation Young was charged with three (3) counts of violation of Florida Statute, 893.13 Sales of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana); and one (1) count of violation of Florida Statute, 893.13, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) with intent to distribute. Young was additionally charged with violaton of Florida Statute, 948.06, Violation of State Probation. On 08/20/13, Young was sentenced to five (5) years state probation for Sales of Marijuana on 06/19/12.
